Christopher Nolan's upcoming Film The Odyssey has reignited global fascination with Homer's epic tale. Terry captained a pilgrimage voyage from Ithaca following the footsteps of the world's most enduring maritime legend, visiting Odysseus' mountain top castle home before sailing to fight the Trojan War. His journey is featured in Pacific Yachting Magazine. He also worked with the team Shōgun (which broke the record for most Emmys in a single season) demonstrating how successful creatively committed teams can be!
Frustrated by the limits of industrial coaching methods, Terry founded Sailboat Coaching International (SCI) — a thought leadership platform in the emerging FreeRange Coach Movement. Sailboat Coaching uses a week on the water to create space for learning, transformation, and quality time with other visionaries at peak locations around the world.
Terry is currently finishing up his book The Sailboat Effect, named after the way teams are built on sailboats. His writing, speaking, consulting, and coaching are motivated by seeing more connected, effective, and focused people come out on the other side.
Terry also captained a sailboat that sailed to Ithaca — climbing where Odysseus once lived — with a tie-in to Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey film.
